Basketball Dream Catcher

Supplies Needed:

• Printed basketball coloring page
• Colored pencils/markers
• Scissors
• Hole punch
• Embroidery hoop or bendable wire
• Yarn, string or ribbons

Instructions:

1. Color your basketball design however you’d like using colored pencils or markers.
2. Carefully cut out the colored basketball shape.
3. Use the hole punch to create a hole in the center of the basketball.
4. Take your embroidery hoop or bendable wire and create a dream catcher ring.
5. Tie pieces of yarn, string or ribbons onto the ring, leaving a hole in the center for the basketball.
6. Attach your colored basketball shape to the center using more yarn/string.
7. Hang up your basketball dream catcher and let it catch all your basketball dreams!

Basketball Pencil Holder

Supplies:

• Basketball coloring page printout
• Colored pencils or markers
• Scissors
• Empty tin can or plastic container
• Glue or tape

Steps:

1. Color your basketball design vibrantly with pencils or markers.
2. Cut out the basketball shape, leaving a small border around the edges.
3. Take your empty can or container and wrap the colored basketball around it.
4. Secure the back with glue or tape to hold it in place.
5. Let it dry completely before filling with pencils, pens or art supplies!

Basketball Wind Chime

You’ll Need:

• Basketball coloring pages
• Markers, crayons, colored pencils
• Scissors
• Hole punch
• Aluminum cans, beads, shells or other chime materials
• String, yarn or fishing line
• A stick, dowel rod or embroidery hoop

Directions:

1. Color several basketball designs however you’d like.
2. Carefully cut out each basketball shape.
3. Use the hole punch to create holes towards the top of each basketball.
4. String your chime materials (cans, beads, shells) onto lengths of string/yarn/fishing line.
5. Tie each basketball onto the chime strings between the materials.
6. Knot all the chime strings onto your stick/dowel/embroidery hoop.
7. Hang up your basketball wind chime and listen to it gently sway!

• Paper bag or cardstock for puppet base
• Googly eyes or markers (optional)

Let’s Make It!

1. Color your basketball design brightly and vividly.
2. Cut out the basketball shape, leaving an extra inch of paper at the bottom.
3. Take your paper bag or cardstock and create a pocket for your hand.
4. Glue or tape the extra paper from the basketball onto the puppet base.
5. Once dry, decorate your basketball puppet with googly eyes or draw a face!

• Scissors
• Cardstock or heavy paper
• Hole punch
• Yarn, string or ribbon

Instructions:

1. Color a basketball design to look like a jersey with your favorite colors/numbers.
2. Cut out the basketball jersey shape carefully.
3. Use cardstock or heavy paper to create a bookmark base in a jersey shape.
4. Glue or tape the colored basketball onto the bookmark base.
5. Punch a hole at the top and tie on a tassel using yarn, string or ribbon.
6. Your sporty new bookmark is ready to keep your place in books!
