Construction Vehicle Wind Chime

Supplies Needed:

• Printed construction vehicle coloring pages (trucks, diggers, cranes etc.)
• Colored pencils/markers
• Scissors
• Hole punch
• String, yarn or fishing line
• Aluminum cans, beads or shells for chimes
• Embroidery hoop, coat hanger or stick

Instructions:

1. Color your construction vehicle designs vibrantly.
2. Carefully cut out each vehicle shape.
3. Use the hole punch to create a hole at the top of each vehicle.
4. Cut lengths of string/yarn/fishing line in varying sizes.
5. String your chime materials (cans, beads, shells) onto the strings.
6. Tie each construction vehicle shape onto the chime strings between the materials.
7. Knot or tie all the chime strings onto your hoop, hanger or stick base.
8. Hang up your construction vehicle wind chime and listen to the delightful sounds!

Construction Hat Visor

Supplies:

• Construction hat coloring page printout
• Yellow and black colored pencils or markers
• Scissors
• Stapler or glue
• 12″ x 9″ piece of white paper or cardstock

Instructions:

1. Color the construction hat black with a yellow stripe using pencils or markers.
2. Cut out the construction hat shape.
3. Take your 12×9 inch piece of paper/cardstock and cut it in half horizontally.
4. Use the stapler or glue to attach the construction hat cutout to the middle of one paper strip.
5. Allow to fully dry if using glue.
6. Wrap the paper strip around your head and staple or glue the ends to create a visor!

Construction Zone Diorama

You’ll Need:

• Construction coloring pages (vehicles, signs, workers etc.)
• Markers, crayons, colored pencils
• Scissors
• Shoebox or small box
• Yellow paper or construction paper
• Glue or tape
• Craft materials like popsicle sticks, straws, googly eyes (optional)

Directions:

1. Color your construction designs including vehicles, workers, signs and imagery.
2. Carefully cut out each element.
3. Cover the inside of your shoebox with yellow paper for the construction “zone”.
4. Glue or tape construction signs, cones or barriers to the yellow base.
5. Position and attach the construction vehicle and worker cutouts.
6. Use craft materials to add extra details like cranes made from straws!

3. Take your paper bag or cardstock and create a pocket for your hand.
4. Glue or tape the extra paper from the worker onto the puppet base.

Road Roller Pencil Holder

Keep your desk rolled tight with this fun road roller pencil holder craft!

Supplies:

• Road roller coloring page printout
• Colored pencils, markers or crayons
• Scissors
• Empty toilet paper roll or paper towel roll
• Yellow and black construction paper or cardstock
• Glue or tape

Instructions:

1. Color your road roller design using bright yellows and blacks.
2. Cut out the road roller, carefulling cutting inner circles or details.
3. Cover your toilet paper roll with yellow paper, wrapping and gluing it around.
4. Cut black paper circles from the cardstock to make wheels for the road roller.
5. Glue the colored road roller image to the front of the yellow tube.
6. Attach the black wheels to each end. Let fully dry before using.
7. Fill your new road roller holder with pencils, pens or art supplies!
