Ship Colors
Use blues, grays, and browns for the ship’s hull and body. Add reds, whites, and yellows for accents like flags, sails, and details.
Ships can have wild, imaginative colors too! Maybe the sails are purple or the hull is rainbow-striped. Color it however you dream it up!
Color Ships in Detail
A. Layering Colors: Start with a medium blue base coat for the hull. Layer darker blues and blacks for shaded areas and depth. Add white for accents and highlights.
B. Highlighting and Shadows: Use yellow highlights on the upper deck and cabin areas where sunlight hits. Color the underside of the hull darker for shadowed effects.
Invite Creativity Challenge: Nautical Color Scheme
Use a classic maritime color palette with navy blues, reds, whites, and tans.
This cohesive theme creates a unified scene. It allows you to practice blending related colors while capturing an authentic seafaring atmosphere.
