Colors to Use for Trucks
For a classic look, use reds, blues, greens, blacks, and metallics like silver or gold for truck bodies. Browns work well for truck beds.
For our younger artists: Trucks can be any bright, fun colors! Use pinks, purples, rainbows – whatever vibrant shades you like best.
Color a Truck in Detail
A. Highlighting and Shadows: Apply yellow or white highlights on the top areas where light hits. Use darker shades like navy or forest green for shadowed areas underneath.
B. Color Combinations: Color the truck body one shade like red, and the wheels/tires a contrasting black. Use white for window outlines to make them pop.
Invite Creativity Challenge: Textured Truck
Use different textured tools like pencils, crayons, or even cotton balls to create a variety of distinct textures and patterns across your truck scene.
This hands-on challenge builds skills in applying different artistic textures and media.
